‘Lower Thames Crossing past its sell by date’ says local MP
Thurrock Conservative MP Jackie Doyle-Price has told new Transport Secretary Mark Harper that the current design for the £10bn Lower Thames Crossing is past its sell by date and that the Minister should ‘rip it up and start again’. It would no longer deliver the benefits intended.
She joins Conservative-run Thurrock council in opposing the controversial scheme which is due to go to public inquiry soon (LTT856 31 October).
