Major road schemes remain in newly published Welsh infrastructure pipeline

Two of the biggest Welsh road schemes reviewed by the independent Sloman Roads Review Panel have been listed as going ahead in the Welsh Government’s newly- published infrastructure investment strategy project pipeline.

The A55 Third Menai Crossing, estimated to cost £400m, and the A55/A494/A458 Flintshire Corridor scheme, estimated at £300m, are listed as “to be financed and delivered by the WG”, says the document, published this week. The document lists projects which “have a high probability of being delivered as described”.
