Buckthorn Partners buys transport and infrastructure specialist Amey
UK investment firm Buckthorn Partners has acquired infrastructure services and consulting engineering company Amey Group PLC.
Amey specialises in transport and built infrastructure management. Its current projects in the UK include Docklands Light Railway and Manchester Metrolink operation, and Wales and Borders rail franchise. It is in partnership with Keolis in providing Transport for Wales with asset management, integrated ticketing, on-demand transport systems and development of the South Wales Metro project. It manages over 30,000km of highways across the strategic and local road network. This includes the maintenance of roads, footpaths and cycle paths and over 600,000 street lights across the UK.
