Councils want government to fully fund ‘unsustainable’ concessionary fares bill after LGA claims £452m gap
Local Authorities in England face a “completely unsustainable” annual bill of more than £450m to pay for concessionary fares for the elderly, disabled and other qualifying groups, according to a Local Government Association (LGA), analysis.
