Mass transit big feature of new Scottish Government 20 year transport priorities

Mass transit schemes for Glasgow city region and Edinburgh and south-east Scotland are among the recommendations in the Scottish Government’s second Strategic Transport Projects Review (STPR2). This proposes a strategy for transport investment in Scotland for the next 20 years.

Flagship projects include Clyde Metro in and around Glasgow, which would provide more public transport options for cross boundary travel, reducing the need for unnecessary changes between services, says the report.
