Michael Roberts will take over as chief executive of the watchdog London TravelWatch from January. He has 30 years’ experience in advocacy and influencing public policy, much of it relating to transport. He was director- general at the Rail Delivery Group and chief executive at the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC), where his team were responsible for providing services such as National Rail Enquiries.
