Solent Transport launch ‘Breeze’ super app to link micro-mobility and public transport

A new app offering information about both micromobility and public transport services has been launched by Solent Transport. The Breeze app offers e-scooter, pedal bike and e-bike sharing, from two separate providers, plus selected bus services, across Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight.

From next January the platform will be extended to cover national rail services, the region’s whole bus network, ferry tickets, and access to car club vehicles, said Solent Transport. Future updates planned for 2023 include DDRT (Dynamic Demand Responsive Transport), taxis, parking, ride sharing and “active trip functionality” to help guide the user between modes during their journey.
