Top Northern business leader urges dialogue to get resolution
Transport secretary Mark Harper must intervene to help end the rail dispute says vice-chair of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership Jurgen Maier.
He welcomed the news that Harper had met with Mick Lynch, general secretary of rail union RMT. He told the BBC: “I am pleased that Mark Harper is taking a more constructive tone, his predecessors, of course, not having done that.”
