Doncaster Sheffield Airport to close due to ‘lack of viability’ as development plans for site emerge

Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) is to close due to a lack of “tangible proposals” and a “fundamental lack of financial viability”, say owner Peel Group. 

South Yorkshire’s Mayor Oliver Coppard said a “big bold offer” had been made to Peel to allow the “time and space to bring in the external interest that we know is out there and get a deal done to save DSA”.
